Join us for a two-days, hands-on First Aid at Workplace Training. This program covers essential elements, such as first aid priorities, AED, medical emergencies and skill sessions on the recovery position, choking, dressing and bandaging, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) technique. Participants will actively engage in the theory and practical to perform First Aid techniques at workplace, aligning with legal mandates and regulations. This course will be in collaboration with St. John Ambulance of Malaysia.
OBJECTIVES:
- Articulate a clear and comprehensive knowledge of a medical emergencies and first aid priorities at the workplace
- To define applicable legal requirements on first aid priorities and medical emergencies response.
- Recognize various medical emergencies in the workplace and implement effective response.
LEARNING OUTCOME:
Upon completion of the training, delegates will have the basic knowledge and/or skill on:
- Categorize the roles and responsibilities of stakeholders involved in emergency preparedness
- To plan first aid priorities and emergencies response procedure for the workplace
- To execute effective first aid response to emergencies using the skills and knowledge acquired from the training.
- Understand Malaysian legislations related to emergency response

- Wounds and Bleeding
- Shock
- Practical: Dressing and Bandaging

- Introduction to Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Day 2
- Medical Emergencies
- Bone and Spinal Injuries
- Injuries to Soft Tissues
- Practical: Management of Fractures
- Practical: Lifting and Handling of Casualty
- Burns and Scalds
- Poisoning
- Assessment – Theory and Practical

PRE-REQUISITES:
- There is no formal pre-requisite prior attending to this course.
DURATION:
- This is a two (2) days course from 0900-1700 (Face to face).
CERTIFICATION:
Certificate of Competency (3 years validity) from St. John Ambulance of Malaysia will be issued to all participants who attend at least 80% of the course and pass all assessments (theory and practical).
